By popular vote among chorus members, Karina was our 2020 Woman of Note, and recognised as such at the Sweet Adelines Region 31 Virtual Convention.  Sadly, she died in January 2021.

Karina was a member of the bass section and performed on the front row. She had the unique ability to inspire and motivate everyone she met and was a dear friend to us all. She spread positivity and had a sparkle that we will miss so much.

She fought so hard and kept her beautiful smile right to the end.  Our thoughts are with Karina’s family, her son Ross, her mum June and sister Janine.

Karina, we will miss you terribly. We are so blessed that your talent, enthusiasm and kindness was a part of Lace City Chorus. We love you and will continue to spread your positivity, ‘own it’ and make you proud.
